By booking your pet in for a grooming service of any kind with Zoomies and Suds, you agree to the following terms and conditions of service:

HUMANITY BEFORE VANITY

The welfare of your pet will always come first; if they're too stressed to complete a groom, grooming staff may decide it's in the best interests for your pet to have their grooming session ended early, or to adjust the grooming plan for the service to reduce the stress being groomed may cause your pet. Zoomies and Suds reserves the right to still require 100% payment for the full allocation of grooming services books, but may choose to waive part of the cost to reflect the potentially incomplete nature of a groom.

In the event you (the pet owner) bring your pet with an injury that could affect how they can handle their being groomed, Zoomies and Suds reserves the right to refuse to do the service and to rebook it at a mutually agreed date and time without further cost to the pet owner.

If the period between grooms would mean distress or potential harm could come to the pet during grooms, Zoomies and Suds will recommend a more frequent schedule of grooming with you (for example extended periods could cause matting which can be painful for a dog and cause injury). Likewise, Zoomies and Suds reserves the right to refuse service for those whose dogs need regular grooming but the owners/guardians have ignored advice and continue to request bookings at a schedule that does more harm than good to their dog.

TWO+ PET OWNERS

In the event that a pet being booked for a groom has more than one owner or human that can contribute to decisions around the service being done to the pet (including but not limited to the length of fur/hair to be after the service, style of cuts such as pet cuts vs breed standard cuts), Zoomies and Suds will do what they are asked to do by the pet owner/guardian that drops off the pet.

Any disagreements regarding the outcome of the groom caused by two or more pet owners/guardians wanting the groomer to do something different is for them to resolve amongst themselves and therefore Zoomies and Suds - and Zoomies and Suds staff - will not be held accountable for one party not liking/being unhappy with the outcome.

SCHEDULING PERIOD

All pets coming to Zoomies and Suds will be recommended a scheduling period for their grooms depending on lifestyle, coat condition, service preference, and the willingness of an owner to do parental maintenance between professional grooms. By becoming a client of Zoomies and Suds, you agree to bring your dog back in the correct timeframe/scheduling period (eg once every four weeks, every six weeks, eight weeks, two weeks or three weeks).

Pet owners wishing for a longer period between grooms MUST maintain their dog's coat at home with parental maintenance, otherwise a shorter scheduling period will be recommended for the health and welfare of your dog dependent on fur type. Please ask staff about parental maintenance if you're unsure what this would require from you for your specific pet's needs, your shared lifestyle and how willing you are to maintain your dog's condition between grooms.

For the welfare of your pet, Zoomies and Suds will not take on pets unless they are on a 6 weeks or less grooming schedule. Prolonged periods between grooms can contribute to matting, cause fractured toe bones and nails, bald spots, stressful grooms, skin conditions caused by matting, ticks being unknowingly on the pet for dangerously long periods and other potentially dangerous and/or life threatening possibilities.

Zoomies and Suds may provide a discount or loyalty rewards to repeat clients that keep on/to their agreed upon scheduling period (eg they agree to every 4 weeks and always rebook and bring in their dog every four weeks without fail), but these perks aren’t guaranteed unless you have built up a good client history with us.

PAYMENT & PRICING

Zoomies and Suds will not alter their pricing plans for clients wanting or 'needing' a cheaper groom.

All clients are required to pay a non-refundable booking deposit at least 48 hours before the appointment. Failure to show for the appointment for any reason will result in loss of your booking deposit.

Failure to pay the booking deposit 48 hours before the appointment will result in loss of the appointment (except when booked with less than 48 hours notice, in which case, less than 24 hours will trigger the loss of booking deposit).

You agree to pay the remainder of the grooming service price on collection of your pet and before leaving with your pet.

REFUNDS

Zoomies and Suds is a service-based business. Therefore it does not give refunds due to time allocation, cost of equipment maintenance, consumables used during the grooming process (eg shampoos, electric, water) and cost of maintaining the grooming rooms / van to a high hygiene standard.

FAILURE TO SHOW, LATE ARRIVALS, RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENTS

In the event you fail to show for a booked appointment, you forfeit your non-refundable booking deposit.

In the event you make contact to cancel your appointment, you will lose your non-refundable booking deposit unless you've built a good client history with us.

Should you ever need to change your appointment date and time, Zoomies and Suds will transfer your booking deposit only once per groom to a different time/date. In the event a scheduled groom is rescheduled more than once, you forfeit your non-refundable booking deposit even if you have a good client history with us, and need to pay another booking deposit.

In the event you reschedule and the new date results in a longer period between grooms than usual, additional time or services may be required depending on the condition of your pet. This may result in additional services/charges such as but not limited to a compacted deshed service. This will be discussed on drop-off before any grooming takes place to ensure a mutual agreement.

If you are running late to drop off your pet, this may impact the groomer's availability to complete your groom due to bookings of other clients following on from your appointment. Please ring up to notify Zoomies and Suds staff so we can advise if the groom is still possible at your estimated time of arrival, or so we can organise a mutually agreed adjusted time that same day or next available day depending on groomer availability.

Any explanation regarding why you're cancelling, late or rescheduling will be noted.

COLLECTION OF PET & LATE COLLECTIONS (PRE-VAN)

We ask that pet parents do not come by unannounced or before notification to pick up their pet.

When a Zoomies and Suds staff member has completed the service on a pet, the pet parent will be called to notify them that the groom has been completed.

Zoomies and Suds is a 1-to-1 grooming service, meaning that it is designed to reduce stress on client pets by reducing the amount of interactions with other dogs. In the event you are later than mutually agreed to collect your dog, this can impact the groomer's ability to complete grooms scheduled after your pet's, which can result in a late collection charge which must be paid before taking your dog from the premises.

In the event a pet parent cannot pick the dog up within 30 minutes, a housing/late collection charge may be applied per every 20 minutes.

LATE NIGHTS & OUT-OF-HOURS GROOMS

At the groomer's discretion, late night appointments may be available when booked by phone call.

Late night appointments are limited and reserved only for clients with good client history/good reputation with Zoomies and Suds, or emergency grooms for registered charities only.

Out-of-hour grooms are any grooming appointments booked for any reason outside of the usual available appointment hours at Zoomies and Suds. These services must be paid in full (100%) upfront with a non-refundable booking deposit, and incur an additional £30 out-of-hour charge.

UNEXPECTED ARRIVALS & PRESENCE

All services pre-van are provided by appointment only. If a pet owner/guardian shows up unexpectedly, they will be refused service at that moment and encouraged to book an appointment online through the proper booking channels.

Pet owners/guardians are not allowed to show up to be social / interact with the groomer outside of regular grooming appointments (in the period before our grooming van’s arrival).

Pet owners/guardians cannot stay to watch or supervise (as this can negatively affect the pet's behaviour and desired grooming outcome) unless their pet has severely difficult behaviour and the groomer may need their assistance to handle their pet (as determined by the groomer).

Pet owners/guardians wanting to see the grooming process for peace of mind can do so on the Zoomies and Suds social media channels.

SOCIAL MEDIA & MARKETING

By bringing your pet to Zoomies and Suds for grooming, you agree for your pet to be featured on our professional (and sometimes the groomer's personal) social media accounts including but not limited to Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok and Facebook, and in online and offline marketing material such as on our website, on social media, on/in printed marketing materials, and in any online courses we may create. Personal information will not be shared other than your pet's name (or a code name if you prefer).

You agree that if your dog is featured on our social media accounts, on any of our online or offline marketing material or in any future online courses we may create, and you are no longer a client with us for any reason, that we can continue to have previously created marketing material (digital or otherwise) or online course content in continual use and/or availability.

HEALTH OF YOUR DOG

Dogs with any of the following conditions will have their groom session refused, even if discovered at pickup:

  • Active skin infections

  • Respiratory distress including coughing or wheezing

  • Muscle strains affecting ability to stand or balance comfortably

  • Severe ear infections resulting in loss of balance

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Severe lethargy

  • Recovering from a surgery resulting in stitches

  • Menstruating and/or pregnant dogs

  • Leg/ankle/knee injuries or leg/ankle/knee complications/lameness.

  • Fleas/flea infestation

Failure to notify us and reschedule in advance or being unaware of these health issues may result in your being turned away at pickup/start time and forfeiting your booking deposit.

CANINE ANXIETY (PRE-VAN)

Dogs with extreme anxiety resulting in (but not limited to):

  • Non-stop screaming/high-pitched barking

  • Self bodily harm

  • Repetitive jumping or pacing

  • High blood pressure

  • Destructive behaviors causing property damage

  • 'Crocodile rolling'

  • Dangerous behaviours aimed at the groomer such as biting

In these cases an express service will be offered. Pet owners/guardians must be available to pick up right away. Waiting inside is not permitted. We ask you to remain close to the premises at all times. It is crucial you be available to pick up in 20 minutes or less. In the event grooming procedures come to a stop due to having to hold a high risk dog, extra charges may be incurred.

SENIORS

Senior dogs (10 years or older) are always groomed for comfort not perfection and may be offered the first or last appointment of the day to limit time spent in the salon. Seniors are high risk due to potentially undiagnosed health conditions or leg/ankle/knee health. It’s crucial for the pet owner/guardian to remain close to the premises at all times.

MATTED COATS

Mats rest against and pull tightly on the skin. Matts often hide pre-existing conditions such a but not limited to: inflamed skin, infections, restricted movement and restricted blood circulation. In rare occasions removing tight mats can trigger a sudden rush of blood to the skin surface resulting in a hematoma. Areas extra sensitive to this are the tips of the ears and tail.

Precautions are always taken throughout the grooming process however nicks, skin irritation, hematomas and bruising are at a higher risk and sometimes unavoidable when working with severely matted coats. Zoomies and Suds is not liable for injuries that may occur due to matting.

Heavy matting discovered at dropoff or knowingly scheduled beforehand is an additional charge of 100 and is non-negotiable. Parental maintenance at home between grooms is the best way to resolve any constant matting. Zoomies and Suds does provide a resource to all dog owners wanting to learn how to do parental maintenance at home to prevent matts for owners willing to learn.

FLEAS (FOUND DURING THE GROOM)

Please inform Zoomies and Suds staff before arrival if you suspect your dog has fleas. In the event that a flea goes unseen and is found during the bathing/grooming process the dog will be given a flea shampoo. You will be notified and charged accordingly.

ABANDONED DOGS

Whilst it is rare, abandonment of pets has been known to happen in the dog grooming industry. If you are unable to provide your dog with a home for any reason, Zoomies and Suds asks that you be responsible and take them to a rehoming centre instead. In the event a dog is abandoned with us, after a few hours we will contact the relevant authorities which may also result in legal action against you by police and additional relevant authorities.

By booking your pet in for a grooming service of any kind with Zoomies and Suds, you agree to the above terms and conditions of service.
